Producers of the revival of the 1960 political play that stars James Earl Jones -- who was nominated for a Tony Award as best actor, John Larroquette and Jefferson Mays and now also features Cybil Shepherd, John Stamos, Mark Blum, Kristin Davis and Elizabeth Ashley) announced the show has recouped its $3.25 million capitalization.
The Tony Award-nominated production about dirty dealings at a presidential convention has been extended twice and will end its run Sept. 9 at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre, following the Republican and Democratic Conventions for the 2012 race.
